In accordance with public health guidelines, and to ensure the continued health and safety of our residents and employees, the Accora Centre will be closed and all in-person programs and services will be suspended effective Thursday, December 24th at 2:00 pm. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Accora Centre when it is once again safe to do so.
Borrow a set of snowshoes and explore the great outdoors. We have 20 sets of snowshoes including child and adult sizes. Reserve your snowshoes online and stop by the Accora Centre during the designated pickup period. Weekend reservations available for $10 per pair (pick-up; Friday between 1pm and 6pm Return; Monday 10am – 1pm). Weekday loans may be added if demand supports.

In the centre of Accora Village is a City of Ottawa Park with an outdoor rink. The rink is operated by local community volunteers through a service agreement with the City of Ottawa. Outdoor rinks are free to use and are typically open late December to mid-February. This winter we are so fortunate to have a multi-use urban winter trail steps from Accora Village. 8 km of winter tail stretch’s from Andrew Haydon Park to Britannia Beach. This trail presents a great opportunity for everyone to get out into the fresh air during the snowy months and enjoy their preferred winter activity be it cross-country skiing, winter biking, snow shoeing, or walking! Learn to cross-country ski with the Kanata Nordic Ski Club. All required equipment and instructions will be provided free of charge. For ages 6+, however all children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by someone 18+. February 3 or February 17 from 4-6 pm at Wesley Clover Park.

With Covid precautions front of mind our dance classes will be offered with a maximum group size of 4 and the option to attend virtually or in-person (dependant on restrictions). Participants have the option to switch between virtual and in-person participation based on their comfort and preference from week-to-week. These high energy classes teach rhythm, coordination, and balance through age-appropriate movements set to fun upbeat music.

$35 for 7, 30-minute classes and $52.50 for 7, 45-minute classes.
