At Accora Village we have an ongoing commitment to provide quality swimming lessons to our residents. We feel that one of our most important tasks is to ensure that your children are taught to be strong swimmers and learn to make wise choices in an aquatic environment.
The Canadian Red Cross is winding down its swim programming to focus on surging humanitarian demands in other areas – such as disaster and pandemic response, opioid harm reduction and caregiving for seniors. Read the press release here.
With the Canadian Red Cross no longer offering their swimming program we have decided the best program to continue to accomplish this goal is the Lifesaving Swim for Life Program.
This program focuses on the three main strokes (Front crawl, Back crawl and Breaststroke) and is the best fit to continue to work on the skills that your children already learned in the Red Cross program. The safety component ensures that your children are water smart before they get in too deep. You can find out more information about the program here.
We will do our best to ease you through the transition, feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any follow up questions and one of our Head Instructors or Aquatic Coordinator will reach out to you.
