  • Sports Gymnasium

    Featuring an automatic scoreboard to help residents feel like pros, basketball nets, and equipment for volleyball, badminton, soccer, dodgeball, and indoor hockey.

    18.5m long and 4.5ft deep, our saltwater pool offers residents a beach area, mushroom fountain sprinkler, water slide, hot tub, and swimming lanes for those who take fun seriously.

    Offering free weights, strength benches, racks, and cable-pull systems, memberships can be purchased monthly or annually.

  • Cardio Room

    Featuring treadmills, elliptical machines, upright and recumbent bikes, a FlexStrider, and light weights, residents are guaranteed to break a sweat.

    Sparing residents a jam-packed apartment, we offer a party room for fun events able to be rented on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Programs

  • Weight & Cardio Room

    Residents are encouraged to take advantage of our fitness rooms in the Accora Centre. Our weight room has a variety of free weights, hammer strength benches, racks, and cable pull systems. The cardio room features treadmills, elliptical machines, upright and recumbent bikes, a FlexStrider, and light weights to challenge your body further.

  • Yin Yang Yoga:

    This class will help build the foundations of Yoga by focusing the first half of the class on building flexibility and warming the body through breath and holding poses for longer periods of time. The second half of the class focuses on movement through a flow of gentle yet powerful poses.

  • Low-Impact Training:

    The Low-Impact Fitness class provides a safe and effective way for resistance training that is easy on the joints. Participants will be using light weights and resistance bands to build muscle mass and break a sweat! This class allows participants to have the option of using a chair to perform the exercise or stand.

  • Aqua Fit:

    Use the water's resistance to add a level of difficulty to your total body aerobic workout! Aqua Fit involves cardiovascular, balance, and muscle components using the water's resistance with low-impact on joints. Great for all levels of fitness!

  • Cross Fit Bootcamp:

    Start your day right by challenging yourself and revving up your metabolism! Cross-Fit Bootcamp is designed to build strength while stressing cardiovascular fitness using moderate to heavy weight

  • Mud Hero Training Camp

    Push the limits and crank up your adrenaline for the June 2017 Mud Hero race! Set your sights on competing in the Mud Hero race by training with a team to motivate you to achieve your fitness goals! Tickets to the event are included for those committed to the weekly training camp.

  • Open:

    All residents (and their guests) are welcome to swim! Please note: Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 16. All Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian over the age of 16. Children between the ages of 8-12 must pass a swim test to enter the water unaccompanied.

  • Adult:

    Residents over the age of 18 are welcome to enjoy the use of the pool for swimming laps, or relaxing in the water. There is no lifeguard on duty during this time, so for safety reasons there will be a maximum of 10 swimmers at a time in the pool.

  • Women’s Only:

    We invite all women over the age of 13 to relax in the pool, or get in a workout. Please note: women are welcome to bring any child under the age of 12 between 9 am - 11 am.

  • Preschool & Kids Swimming Lessons:

    Swimming is best learned at a young age, and with the Red Cross we have organized swimming lessons for kids!

  • Adult Swimming Lessons:

    If a resident is 18+ and interested in working out without the sweat, our Adult Swim is the perfect refreshment. There is no lifeguard on duty, so for safety reasons a maximum of 10 swimmers are permitted in the pool area.

  • Soccer:

    Put on your best FIFA face and join us for a game of indoor soccer! 18+

  • Basketball:

    Show off your skills on the court and join us for an indoor game of basketball! 18+

  • Badminton:

    Score the game point when you join us for a game of badminton! 18+

  • Volleyball:

    Serve it and spike it while enjoying some friendly competition in an indoor game of volleyball! 18+

  • L.E.A.F. Program (Learning, Evolving, Action, & Friendship)

    Accora Village is excited to announce the new L.E.A.F. program for children ages 4 – 15! The L.E.A.F. program will offer organized after-school programming Monday – Friday in the Accora Centre. Participants will be dropped off at the Accora Centre after school, and be greeted by a L.E.A.F. leader, who will lead them through 3 hours of programming. This includes swimming lessons and group tutoring. Please see the schedule below:

  • Tutoring

    Semi-private and private tutoring are available to all youth in our community every weekday evening between 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Sessions are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

  • Music Lessons

    Private, 30-minute music lessons are available to all youth in our community between 6:00 - 8:00 pm every Thursday evening. The next session of 10 classes begins January 19th.

  • Toddler & Me

    Parents and their little ones are invited to drop in on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 – 11:00 am to meet new friends, socialize, and enjoy some games and activities.

  • Babysitting Course

    Are you interested in becoming a trained babysitter? Come learn babysitting techniques. Topics include: ages and stages, rights and responsibilities, emergency procedures, and introductory first aid

  • Lifesaving Standard First Aid with CPR-C

    Develop an in-depth understanding of first aid with the help of medical professionals and the Canadian First Aid Manual. Learn about the medical and legal aspects of first aid and treating specific injuries, including: spinal, heat or cold, bone and joint, burns, and other medical injuries. Class is designed for individuals 12 +!
